My experience with Steffans Legal was fantastic . Attorney Steffans helped me to recover lost wages. Attorney Steffans was professional and able to answer all my questions in an extremely timely manner. I sought expert guidance for an employment law matter that was a complex and complicated case for many reasons. After my first conversation with Ben I immediately felt so much weight lifted off my shoulders because he was going to handle this legal matter with me head on.He showed me in so many ways throughout how outstanding of attorney he truly is. He came up with strategies that were incredibly effective for the different situations that came up throughout these extremely difficult six months for me.
He ALWAYS kept me up-to-date and stayed in contact frequently. There was never a time that I was not able to get in contact with him and his response time is incredible. Sam provided free consultation regarding job law. His advice was spot on and relevant to my situation. I took notes and ask him to proofread them. I had a wrongful termination case that was against a multinational corporation with a reputation for aggressively contesting lawsuits. Prior to my being able to retire, I was "let go" from my position. As a professor, I had never received a bad review in my seventeen years of employment, and my students were very positive about my teaching. I had published books, represented my institution here and abroad and organized major colloquiums. My identity was wrapped up in being a professor, so I was at a complete loss about what to do when I lost my job. I will always be grateful for the help and understanding I received from William Corman. When he entered the picture, his sterling reputation was recognized by my former employers. His efforts on my behalf were taken very seriously. Any attempt I would have made regarding a settlement would have been dismissed. I ended up with a sum of money that would see me through a couple of years if I needed it. Time to pause and reflect on the future without the stress of financial hardship was essential -- required in order to think clearly and logically about how to go forward instead of falling into a lengthy depression. I had taken on a large company where I had worked for personal wrong-doing. I received a lot of rejections from other attorneys; however, I knew that I had a strong case, and knew I just needed to find the RIGHT attorney that saw what I saw in my case.
Then, I met Mr. Corman. He invited me into his office, and listen intently to what I had to say, asked questions, reviewed some documentation that I had. By the end of the meeting he told me that he would take on my case. He also gave me a clear and accurate assessment of how much the fees would be ( he stayed true to this to the end of the case). There were subsequent meetings after that, and he never gave up on me or the case - always keeping me apprised on the progression of my case.
To make a long story short - We won the case!!! Without Mr. Corman's dedication, and belief in me and my case - I could not have won. Thanks again, Mr Corman.

Vernon has been absolutely amazing. A year and half after I had been injured at work and after receiving medical treatment, it was time to start the settlement process. I was given an offer and wasn't sure if it was good. I found The Sumwalt Group on Google and saw the 5 star reviews. I reached out to them to see if I could get some advice. Vernon was the one to call me and gave me some wonderful free advice on countering and what would be a good amount. He also looked over the settlement agreement I received to make sure it wouldn't mess up any potential social security/disability in the future. Vernon made me feel like he cared and like he wanted the best for me on this settlement and helped me to avoid having to hire a lawyer and drag out the process. We had a new employee with less than 90 days service, and after 5 weeks of classroom and OJT training, violate one of our most stringent work rules----twice. The first time we gave her a written warning, the second time it happened we terminated her employment. She filed complaints with both the Federal EEOC and the State ERD claiming discrimination based on her sex, age, harassment, and religion. The State ERD deferred to the EEOC to investigate and they found no merit in her charges. They then dismissed and issued a Right to Sue letter. The claimant filed suit in Federal Court and we engaged our attorney Al Seneczko to help us defend against it. He provided excellent advice, some of which was quite unique and effective with the court. He also handled all court documents and provided superb and very responsive service. I was terminated from a large fortune 100 financial services company at age 59. I was in sales and had been employed by this company and predecessors for 26 years. I was put on the streets so I could not fight a case against police when the police illegally impounded my RV I was living in. I was getting harassed everyday by them, now homeless until I was able to put enough money together and bought a truck. 2 weeks after buying this truck outright from dealer for $3000, I was pulled over for no reason. It was literally just so they could impound my brand new truck again and keep me on the street homeless. I spent all I had on truck so I could not get it out of impound and they sold it at auction leaving me homeless with nothing once again. Completely unaware that the cops actually wrote a ticket for this incident, I missed the court date because of them leaving me homeless with nothing for the second time and can’t get mail. They are charging me with misdemeanor drug possession, misdemeanor possession of tear gas. Like wtf (I had a can of pepper spray on a keychain under the seat. There also was no drugs so no paraphernalia want to plead not guilty and fight the case but I don’t want to lose my bed at homeless shelter by going to jail until court date. How can I do this?

I was being discriminated against at work and spoke with Emily about my case. I had been offered a paltry severance after I complained about my manager’s behavior. I recently went through a nightmare of a work discrimination situation, and am forever grateful that I found Louise! Her responsiveness was incredible: when things were time sensitive—she magically carved out moments to be on the phone, right when I needed her most. Pilar came through for me when I needed it the most. I was only a juvenile, when they charged me (State) with Rape, when in reality, I didn't even rape the victim. Pilar did what she had to, in order for me to get moved to the Juvenile court system. Yes, I had to endure the House Arrest for a number of months, but she knew what she was doing. She won my case. I hired her because of her background. We had a similar culture. Also, the fact that she was a female attorney, who fought hard for what she wanted, I thought it would be intimidating, as I was proven right. We won my case, and I was indeed moved down to the Juvenile court system, and she did what she could to minimize my requirements. I would really recommend her to anyone. She used to be a former prosecutor I believe, so that gives her an huge advantage as a defense attorney.
