I was so proud to have an educated, poised, beautiful, passionate and professional woman stand by me and represent me at trail.
She came in prepared and ready to preform and was she a class act. We knew we were walking into the lions den (because my soon to be ex-husband is a sheriff and a very difficult person to deal with!) and to top things off my judge was a tough one to conceive. I was overwhelmed and filled with emotions, but to instill me with the confidence I needed before my court, Mary took the time to meet with me on a Sunday afternoon and was extremely patient. She made sure I understood everything. Choosing an attorney can be difficult and a scary thing because your having to trust someone that you've never met with your life. I was notified 4 days before my court date that my son's mother acquired a lawyer for our custody battle, so I met with Mary the next day and I can say it was the best decision I've made for my battle. She diligently helped me gain more custody of my son, she has an amazing personality and I am very happy with the work she has put time and effort into for my case. I shopped around a lot for a case involving a nasty custody battle with my ex husband. After several meetings with different attorneys I trusted my instinct and went with Mary. Based on the severity of my situation, this was one of the best decisions I have made in my life.
Mary was honest with me about the circumstances of my case and the likelihood of my success, unlike others who promised me I would get everything. Her prediction was exactly on point for what I had received in court. Despite being against a very smooth talking jerk (my ex and his fancy lawyers), we still prevailed.

John did a great job presenting the facts and defending me when my neighbor was shot. This required outside the box thinking that John did well. As Defense lawyers go, I would put him in close to the top 10%. A good lawyer is not cheap, but will worth it in our corrupt Justice system.
John and I worked as a team, which I liked since it was my future at stake. John got to know me as a person and not just a name (or checking account number). He was open to my ideas on how to prove the accusers were lying. One must realize that lawyers are also actors and must impress the jury. John was good.
I would use him again if I needed an attorney.

Lyn was our attorney when our insurance company denied the care my husband needed. We appealed to the insurance company and the next level and we're still denied. I would definitely recommend Lyn. I had Lyn file a motion for an early termination of my probation after I was told by parole and probation I wasn't going to be able to be released early. Lyn was very nice and very professional. She had my motion filed very quickly and about a month after our initial meeting she had already recieved the court order terminating my probation and dismissing my charges. Her price was very reasonable. She was very responsive and kept me up to date on every aspect of my case. If ever in the future I am in need of an attorney, Lyn would be the first one I would call.

I have worked with Lisa for 3 years now. I first hired her to work on a sewer/water connection and fee issue. I knew she had a lot of experience in this area because of her previous work with local municipalities and regional sanitary districts. She then got involved with an Illinois EPA issue regarding some new construction which we had done. After working with her on these two issues we now have her take care of all our corporate matters. Mark represented me in 2010 on a criminal case involving charges that included aggravated assault and possession of an unlawful weapon. He was extremely honest, open and real. My mother and I consulted with a few attorneys, but instantly retained Mark based off of our gut feeling upon our first meeting with him. James Parker is the main individual responsible for my victory in my small claims case. Although he advised me to represent myself based on the amount I was seeking, he devoted time to preparing me to do so knowing he had nothing to gain in return. I was a nervous wreck and was having difficulty sleeping due to the stress of trying to navigate the intricacies of my case, school, and work. James reduced my anxiety by encouraging me to pursue my case although the defendant had obtained a lawyer, directing me to the correct legal codes to make my case, and helping me understand what was expected of me as a pro se litigant. I went into the courtroom equipped with the knowledge he shared with me and was able to participate in jury selection, make my opening statements, testify, successfully object to a question, cross examine, and close. I am here to tell you that I was in a dire situation in which I was going to loose my contact on a newly build duplex because of a piss poor communication between lender and the builder. When I say loose my contract, I mean with in hours the builder was sending me a cancel contract order. My real estate agent was no help at all and I need an advocate straight away to assist me. I was referred to Mr. Parker and was lucky to get him on the phone the first call.
I told him my situation and he patiently and graciously gave me solution immediately; over the phone. Yes, you read that correctly, over the phone. Thanks to him I was able to save my home and let out a huge sigh of relief.

I was battling for the removal of a General Officer Memo of Reprimand from early 2008. This GOMOR was filed in my Official Records preventing promotion and prompting a Show-Cause for Retention or Elimination. After 2 failed attempts with Active Duty Legal Counsel assistance appealing through the Department of Army Suitability and Evaluations Board, I decided to interview non-Military Lawyers for a final appeal through the Army Board of Corrections for Military Records. After the initial phone interview I knew he was just the right Lawyer for my purposes. As my last chance for promotion was nearing, Mr. Stockdale assisted me with excellent guidance on how to best argue my case for relief. I was expecting to hear results in 10-12 months, but was elated to discover that within 5 months, the ABCMR granted me FULL RELIEF! I cannot thank Mr. Stockdale enough nor show reserve when recommending him to others. At the time, I was facing legal issues but had no idea of the charges or the situation I was up against. Mr. Kopka guided me through the entire process, explaining what to expect and keeping both my wife and me well-informed, even before the charges were officially revealed.
Once I learned that I was being falsely accused, Mr. Kopka and his paralegal acted swiftly, helping me gather all the necessary information to build my defense. My really good friend was falsely accused and convicted at a court martial because he had poor legal representation from the military. I encouraged him to seek a civilian lawyer who specializes in military law.

It's a hard pill to swallow when you come to a point where you must debate on whether you should file for bankruptcy or not. After weighing all possible options, I decided to file and was referred to Robert Fox. It had started as an initial phone call with quick questions regarding your income, your debt and your expenses. This is what they call the Means test. After answering all the questions, I was told I was a "good" candidate to file. We then proceeded to schedule a future date to talk again going into further details about my debt and expenses. What was really nice for me was i asked if we should talk over the phone or meet in person. Robert said it was my preference and really didn't mind if I chose either way. He understood that people were busy and couldn't always make time to travel to his office. However, he did suggest that meeting in person would be more personable. That right away made me feel a bit more relieved during the process. It gave me a sense of security in knowing he wanted to do his job and do it right. And if it meant putting a face to a file, then i was all for it.
On my office visit, I was greeted by Iris at the front desk. (Please pay attention to her. She is another instrumental person in the process). Very pleasant and nice lady. After meeting with Robert and getting all the things done during our discussion, Iris gave me papers to look over and sign and gave me my list of things to do over the next couple of days. She also told me she would be in contact with me from time to time til my hearing. And in the days leading up to my hearing, she always gave me detailed instructions on everything and anything. Don't worry, Robert was always available for me whenever I had any questions.
Now one thing before I end my review. You, as the client, must do everything asked of you by Robert and Iris if you want the whole process to go smoothly and without a hitch. If you do your part, and do it right, they can do theirs correctly.

"The manner in which your firm has been communicating with me is bizarre and almost robotic...On top of that, there was no material explanation as to why such fees would be necessary. For your reference, I reached out to two of your competitors, all of which promptly responded to me via email with a normal conversation and discussion that involved a human back and forth with questions, and elaboration on my request. It was refreshing. Secondly, the potential fees of up to 4 hours for $550/hour for a reaffirmation were referred to as "ridiculous" not only by your competitors, but from other out-of-state counsel that I have worked with in the past. On top of that, some of which offered alternatives that require no fees whatsoever. In conclusion, the manner in which you conduct business and communicate is not only seemingly fee-driven instead of sincerely helping the needs of a potential client, but also not a fit for me."
