Had the unfortunate experience of dealing with family and friends that used this attorney. STAY AWAY!! He only cares about the money! He does not return any calls, he does not follow through and is RUDE!! I come from a long family history of attorneys, judges, etc. and they would never behave this way. Save your money and find you an attorney that actually cares abuot you and your sitution.

Our family has been waiting on ANY type of communication from Mike Findley who is handling our Mother's Probate Estate. It has been many months with NO response. We have finished everything we need to do, we just needed him to submit to the courts. At this point, we will be forced to file a formal complaint. It is extremely disappointing, and unprofessional. We only went with him because our eldest brother recommended him, and he has since passed as well. Do not choose this "law office"!

Agreed with the last one star rating. Started off talking about politics when nobody brought it up. Very bossy and Gruff. Not a smile or laugh. Made comments about my attire as to be judging me and putting me down. I'm disabled and it took every ounce of energy to get to his office. Sorry if I didn't have a suit and tie on. He could of told me over the phone he didn't want my case but seemed to want to see me in person to tell me no. Just a very cold feeling from him. Not someone you want when you are truly hurt by others. Grumpy. Time to retire buddy. You can't take your $ with you.

I found Mark quite inappropriate business wise, met him to go over possibly taking my case, he seemed quite scattered, but I figured he was out of his office setting so tried to continue with my issue.
It was different, but ok until he walked me out, started talking politics & abortion, and quite strongly, told me if I voted for Trump, he would pray for me. I didn't say a thing about voting for Trump or politics or abortion!
WEIRD for an attorney to go there when it had nothing to do with my potential case, it made me quite uncomfortable, like if I didn't agree with him, he wouldn't take me on.
Continued to tell me he was a single father and his wife cheated on him twice. Ok?!?!? I'm in a very scary and tenuous situation in my home, due to conditions out of my control, as well as health issues.
He tied me up for 2 weeks (I spent putting info together as he asked) then when I asked a simple "yes or no" question he said we weren't a match, no explanation or even a phone call (via text).
I am old school and find that a bit cowardly, not to mention unprofessional! Back to square 1! Thanks for wasting my time! Probably for the best, I should have done my homework first, need a high-powered elder abuse firm, blessed I found them shortly after his "not a match text". I waited a day and a half, plus 2 texts from me for that!
He may very well be a good litigator, I don't know, but as far as the humanity side with a new client and appropriate conversation, no thanks!
I feel confident the 5 stars were slam dunk cases with lots of bucks. That is why they are called ambulance chasers, this was not my case, is it an elder abuse resulting in PI.
I also asked him if he would write a letter if I paid him his hourly fee if he didn't take the case and he said he never charges for a letter but didn't even address that in his text. I'm all about integrity and keeping your word. Maybe time to retire Mark!

We wasted many years with this lawyer. She never answered our calls or emails. She or her assistant called only about money or payments! All work we done by ourselves. She didn't know anything about immigration law. She cannot answer to our questions, she didn't prepare our documents. It was horrible years with this "lawyer". She cares only about money. It was looks like she is some sort of scammer or fraudster who took your money and forget about your existence.
She also fabricated cases and proposed to fabricate cases for interview with USCIS. She used fraud practice and offer services that we don't need. Never ever pick this horrible attorney.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the expertise of Irina Lemberg, a brilliant lawyer, and her dedicated and supportive team. Despite being told by other lawyers in Los Angeles for the entirety of the 7 years I lived there that my case had no chance of success, Irina was the only one who believed in our chances and worked tirelessly to prove it. Her professionalism and unwavering support were truly impressive.
What struck me the most was that unlike the common perception of lawyers who are solely focused on collecting fees without providing real help, Irina was different. Even though our agreement required payment to be made 10 days prior to the hearing, I forgot about it and no one from her team reminded me. It was only after the hearing was over that I remembered and paid. I am immensely grateful for the level of trust and understanding displayed by Irina and her team.

Andres comes off as being nice and polite, but you will see a complete different side if you do not go with what he says, even if it is unfair. He will yell at you if you do not understand. Not a pleasant experience. Highly do not recommend him.

I selected this attorney to represent me based on research and the reviews. I started filing for disability back in the summer of 2015. All was fine until the parallegal working with me left the firm. From that point on nobody was responsive to any communication. I finally got my date in front of an administrative judge. I called the office to try to get someone to give me guidance on what was the process from this point. It took a week for me to get a call back. Then they said they were no longer handling my case and I should have recieved a letter in the mail. The so called notification letter was dated from the Monday of that week and postmarked 2 days later (had I not reached out to them I may never have known I was no longer a client). The letter said the office said they decided not to handle SSD cases anymore in September 2015. They said they had another firm handeling my case who is reputable and accomplished. The attorney at that firm that handles their caes is known for dealing with drunk driving, workers comp, and pit bull attacks. Not too comforting when you have a social security disability issue. When I called the firm they had no record of my case. I am 45 days out from a judicial hearing I have been waiting for for over 18 months and now I have to find an attorney becasuse Ms. Jurewitz dumped me and didn't have the courtesy to notify me. She didn't even take verify that the people she thought she was transfering the case to were knowledgeable in the area or actually took the case.

According to the Oceanside Social Security office, I was the first veteran (in March, 2014) to file for SSDI benefits in San Diego under the new Expedited Program for Disabled Veterans (only for veterans Rated 100%, Permanent and Total). What I did not understand, at the time of my initial electronic filing, was that there was a 70+% chance that my claim would be denied, which it was. In fact, my claim was denied a second time when I appealed their first decision.
I could not believe that the SSA wrote, in both their Denial Letters, that I was capable of working 100% time, especially given the fact (documented by the VA, and the UCSD Moores Cancer Center) that I had incurable cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy twice a week for the rest of my life. What???
There is an old saying which is completely true, "Once a Marine, always a Marine."
I had a choice to make. I could do nothing and accept their verdict, or, I could appeal. I decided to deny their denial of my claim.
So, what do you do when you are about to embark on any conflict?
You prepare and get the best defense you can.
The first thing I did was search the internet, where I found the AVVO website. I searched San Diego disability lawyers, and then I found the one with the highest (10.0) rating, Lee Jurewitz. I emailed her office. No response. I called them, and it was lucky I did because their server was having problems. I told them my story and was accepted as a client.
If you are reading this, you should understand that SSDI claims take a LONG time to process.
My claim took 17 months from my initial application, to the successful hearing with the Administrative Law Judge and my attorney, Ms. Jurewitz. And I had an expedited claim, not only because I am a disabled veteran (100% P&T), but also I am a TERI (terminal illness) case. 17 months. There were others at the downtown Social Security office, waiting for their hearings, who had waited over four years.
So, you need to learn several things:
1) Be patient. SSDI claims will take a long time to process. They are understaffed and overworked.
2) Hire a good, reputable attorney. The maximum they can make on an SSDI claim is $6,000, or 25% of the retroactive backpay, whichever is less. They are well worth the money (which is deducted from your final payout from Social Security).
3) Document, document, document all your medical appointments, etc. Help your attorney to help you.
4) Be honest with your attorney, and above all, the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ). If you are truly disabled, it will be obvious to everyone because of your medical documentation and your demeanor. Do not fake anything or you will ruin your credibility and you will deserve to lose your case.
It may seem that the ALJ hearing is adversarial, but it is the job of the judge to make certain you are disabled, and believe me, the ALJ will ask you some very personal and embarrassing questions--but that is their job. Be honest and make sure the judge understands your disability. Explain how your disability affects your life and why you cannot work.
SSDI is not just handed out, and it should not be. If you are able to work, or you are faking it because you think you might get some easy money from the government, I will tell you right now that you are sworn to be truthful during your hearing and the penalties for defrauding the government are severe. They should be.
So, if your initial SSDI claim is denied, which in all likelihood it will be, and you have a legitimate case, I would strongly urge you to find a good, reputable attorney to represent you, and AVVO can help you find the right attorney for you.

I’ve unfortunately had a terrible experience with Neale & Fhima. My initial contact began years ago, and I wholeheartedly believe it’s because of the severe lack of attention and care to my case that I’m still awaiting settlement.
Intake was quick and easy, but the rest? Well, the rest has been hell on earth, in my personal opinion. I don’t feel like ANY urgency has been applied to my case. I feel like just a number - the biggest fear a client could have.
I signed a settlement agreement months ago and I never feel like any progress has been made on my case until I contact this “firm” requesting an update. At that point, emails are suddenly exchanged and I’m then forwarded a response from Defense……a response that would have been furnished far sooner if Neale & Fhima performed adequate follow-up without the urging of clients with long overdue settlements. Personally, I would never hire Neale & Fhima if I could begin this process again.

Gary was referred to me by a friend. Unfortunately, he did not work out. He was handling two cases of mine on a contingency in which I was the plaintiff, an auto accident and an assault case. He mishandled both cases and I fired him. My assault case was almost dismissed because Mr. Eisenberg failed to file the proper paperwork in time. The second attorney I found to handle my cases, had to go in front of a judge and argue to keep my assault case open and not let it be dismissed. My second attorney was successful in his efforts. I would not recommend Mr. Eisenberg.

I hired Attorney James R. Traut to represent me in a clear-cut legal malpractice lawsuit. I answered all of his questions over a 20-minute phone conversation and gave him all the details he requested, including the exact amount of the lawsuit. He then requested all of the personal and private details of the case and told me he was ready to go once he received them. He then abandoned me suddenly and refused to answer any texts or phone calls. Horrible experience!

I hired Jim Traut to sue for injuries I received in an accident caused by a drunk driver. I was always kept up to date on what was going on. First and foremost, Mr. Wasieleski was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I could not be more thankful for the help that he gave me. I was involved in an automobile accident in late 2015 in which I was t-boned at an intersection by someone who ran their red light. As a result of my accident I was experiencing sever pain in my body almost immediately. I was referred to Mr. Wasieleski by a friend who had gone through him for their auto accident and they were extremely pleased with how he handled their case. I made the mistake of hiring this lawyer, and I found three weeks after signing the contract that she started to treat me like a flunky employee. She started to get angry at me on a regular basis for (a) too many emails (b) not enough emails (c) asking for status updates (d) asking questions .... She negotiated a settlement about one-fifth of what she originally estimated she would get, and this settlement would have yielded me ~$500 profit after deducting her fees. She required me to make multiple concessions to the opposing party prior to negotiating on my behalf. The retainer contract didn't discuss administrative fees, but she charged me separately for copying, postage, billing. My billing rate for her secretary was $100 per hour, even though she likely paid her secretary ~$25 per hour. She padded her bill in multiple ways, so that after 10 hours of work, she had gotten nothing for me done. Her bill padding fictionalized phone calls and emails that never happened. Run for the hills away from this ill-tempered, unprofessional, inefficient lawyer.

I had to call three time to just confirm whether they received my documents. when I finally managed to speak with the research assistant, she was extremely condescending .. not exactly how you want to establish client/attorney relationship going forward, big waste of my time during an already stressful situation.
