I hired Kelly to represent me, and this decision was validated every time I spoke with, emailed, or met with him. I would leave his office, hang up the phone, or read one of his email responses and feel instantly better. He was helpful, direct, and respectful throughout the entire process and gave thorough answers to my questions in a relevant way. No games. Straight answers, anticipating I'd make the decisions I needed to make based on my own judgement system and respecting whatever that might be. He was also very personable and sincerely seems to like his work and helping people. This is important!
You'll be doing the work (gathering documents, going through the budget courses, keeping track of communications from creditors, etc.), and you will want someone you can communicate well with and who welcomes your questions. Our conversations would always leave me feeling more optimistic and clear. I'd know what to expect from him on his end and what I needed to do on my end for whatever step was next in the process. His fees are reasonable, and he is clear when explaining them.
Right from the beginning, when I called to inquire about a consultation, the time I spent with him on the phone before even coming into his office was already more valuable than I had anticipated and gave me insight where others had left me with more confusion. Best phone call I ever made. While speaking with Mr. Rothkoff for the first time, he asked "why are looking for legal help with managing your mother's estate?" As Power of Attorney for my mother, I was terrified I would make a mistake that would be to her financial detriment. I lived in one state, she was currently in another and was re-locating to a third. I had heard horror stories from people who just didn't know how to navigate elder care law. When I told him such, he replied: "We'd love to help you. When can you come in?" Does the word lawyer conjure up visions of a suit standing on top of something tall screaming at you? Lawyers who bill at $400+/hr even if a paralegal does most of the work? Thank goodness none of them bothered to return my call.
Recently I had to go through the legal eviction process for the first time. Being naive cost me time, stress, and my tenant turned out to be quite cunning.

I contracted with Mr. Arcia's firm to help with a difficult mortgage refinance.
I had tried unsuccessfully to renegotiate my mortgage on my own. The lender was very happy to raise my monthly by $2000 when my lousy mortgage signed at the peak of the housing craziness converted from fixed to variable.
Mr. Arcia's staff took care of all the details during the 18-month process. Through it all they kept me informed and promptly answered any questions I had.
In the end I was able to stay in my home while actually paying a few hundred dollars a month less than before.

Having decided to rewrite my will, I had to find a qualified attorney. After asking around and not finding anyone, I went online to look up lawyers in my area and read reviews. There were several that sounded good but either didn’t take the time to call me or requested that I make an appointment at $300 an hour.
Jay Fox was very gracious. He called me within an hour or two and we talked for maybe 20 minutes to a half hour. He assured me that he didn’t charge for this initial consultation, only if I decided to enlist his services.
He was so helpful and detail oriented, unlike me. He thought of everything that I didn’t. He turned an unpleasant chore into a satisfying outcome.

Mark has been excellent representing me and my wife on our fire victim claim that ravaged our home and lives from the "Camp Fire" disaster. We actually had other lawyers, firms, before finding Mark who personally works our ongoing fire victims claim. We stayed with Mark, and his firm, because he cares and follows through, stays in touch, listens, gets things done with great results after others had done nothing in comparison. The great thing about Mark is how he always finds time, he as well as his delegating to his staff, to reply to our emails and calls when we seek feedback or advice on our claim. So many lawyers just cut off all communication and let your case solve itself, even doing so without care for larger social issues that impact their case. Compared to several good lawyers and firms we have dealt with throughout life we put Mark in the top 2 %, if not the very top lawyer, especially when considering the nature of our claim, how devastating our losses were, his understanding of that and how to legally represent us to keep our winning case moving forward. The fire victims still have some way to go till the whole matter is finalized, and that takes real endurance and dedication on the part of any attorney. Not too long ago, some of the businesses in my community had barriers in their facilities which excluded people, like myself, with disabilities (mobility impairments) from accessing goods and services.
After contacting, consulting, and hiring Mark, positive results soon followed: those shameful barriers of exclusion, which had existed for years, came tumbling down as they were removed by the business owners.
Thanks to the many ADA betterments, which were executed as a direct result of the settlements negotiated by Mark, I am able to live more independently and to participate more actively in my community. My family and I now have more location options where we can shop or get services in an accessible manner. I feel, thanks to Mark and his Team, that I, never again, have to put up with being excluded from everyday activities, such as shopping at a corner store, going to a neighborhood restaurant or movie with family and friends, or using the swimming pool at a hotel on our family vacation. In my community, the action taken by Mark and his Team has truly resulted in a reduction of discrimination against people with disabilities and has opened doors for full participation in all aspects of everyday life for me and my family.

Did you hear the one about the lawyer that you can actually like? I didn't think so. Well, probably because you have not heard of Mark Potter and his incredible team. Lots of lawyers claim to be fighting for you, but most all of them are just fighting to get some extra padding in their wallet. Mark, being an ADA lawyer is out to fight the good fight with his clients in making an ignorant and inaccessible world more aware and accessible. Sure, the Americans With Disabilities Act was written with the intention of making America accessible for all, but the follow through and observance of the stipulations have been slow, if not completely lacking. Yes, the Department of Justice has a wing set up to handle complaints about entities, but they are so overburdened and understaffed they fail miserably. I have tried going the “civil” and more conservative route of utilizing the Departments complaint process, but to no avail. I had even been told by a representative that I may want to contact a lawyer, because the way the law was set up, real change will only happen with legal action. This is where Mark and his team come in because they know the law backwards and forwards and keep up with all the new changes and precedent setting cases so that your case case receives the most thorough research to obtain the best result, for you and everyone else who needs to access the entity. Mark and his office are extremely responsive, and I almost always receive an immediate if not instant response to any of my inquiries. Because of his expert knowledge, every detail is pored over so your case gets the maximum and most thorough resolution. Received a judgement for a credit card l defaulted on over 10 years ago, they were going to take 25% of my wages by garnishing my paychecks. While l was reading reviews l came across Mr. Fred Schwinn and just go in my car and drove over to his office. Upon my arrival Fred met me at the entrance and right away took me back to his office and looked up my case. Fred instructed me to go pick up some paperwork for him downtown, with paperwork in hand the next morning I was back in Fred’s office, sat down and discussed a few things with Fred and he, of course, just happened to know the collection agency that garnished my wages. Fred solved my situation in a matter of minutes! We reached an agreement and it was over right then and there. I’m sure it all depends on the situation but the minute l met Fred l said to myself this is my guy.

Mike Ziegler and his team are simply awesome! I was sued by a debt collector and didn't really know what to do. The first two lawyers I reached out to were "too busy to take on the case" but I finally made contact with Ziegler Diamond on the morning of my court appearance. Mr. Nitzkin and his staff helped me with a credit report issue I was having. My inquiries to the reporting agency were met with either stoney silence or cursory replies that did not address the issue I was having. After Mr. Nitzkin took the case, the reporting agency agreed to fix my credit report to make it accurate, paid Mr. Nitzkin's fees, and paid statutory damages to me. My sole goal going into the case was to have my credit report accurately reflect my history so the money damages obtained were a bonus in my mind. As a professional photographer whose work was infringed by a billion dollar company, I really struggled in finding someone to help me fight them. My first attorney was only interested in how much money he could make from me. I was ready to give up and then, by just a fluke, I found Joel Rothman.
Joel has always been so patient and easy to talk to. He is always available and extremely knowledgeable. And he is such a pleasure to work with.
And he works fast. Within four days of hiring him, he filed my lawsuit. I would have never been able to sue them without Joel. The other side was counting on me not being able to sue them and they were very surprised.
Not only did he make it easy for me to afford the ongoing expenses, at mediation he lowered his contingency so that I got a number that I was comfortable with. I dare anyone to find another attorney who would do that.
He is a great negotiator and always gave me the true pros and cons to guide my decisions. I know the lawyers for the company I was suing were not expecting my attorney to be so knowledgeable and experienced at what he does. It was always five of their attorneys against Joel. It did not go well for them.
I am so thankful and blessed that I found Joel. The bottom line is that he actually cares about artists and it shows in the way he conducts his business.

Mr Walsh advised and assisted in the somewhat complex MEDICAID application process for my 88 year old Mother.
