I worked with Mr. McGovern when my wife and I were about to purchase a home. Our condominium association has old and outdated bylaws with legal language that is difficult to read, and we felt that they could cause us problems were we to try to conduct a renovation project. Mr. McGovern was able to translate these documents in a way that gave us a better understanding of our rights as homeowners, and allowed us to proceed with confidence in our desired improvements. We very much felt that he was on our side throughout the entire process, and his easygoing manner set my wife and I at ease. After living a largely lawyer-free life, my wife and I found ourselves looking for legal services as we tried to manage estate details that my wife faced as the executor of her mother’s will. Living in Holliston, we gave Jennifer a call and explained our situation. Ken, who works with Jennifer, guided us through probate court procedures and helped my wife settle the estate with her siblings. This experience got us thinking of our own estate planning (we had none at the time), so we asked Jennifer to help us put our wills together and establish a trust for our assets. Despite the coincidental onset of the pandemic, we were able to conduct meetings over Zoom with Jennifer, who patiently explained to us and helped us address health care proxies, powers of attorney, powers of attorney for tax matters, life trusts, income trusts, last wills, and memorial arrangements—topics about which we had only limited knowledge. Throughout the process, Jennifer provided clear guidance so that our own estate plan now suits our needs. As a result of our experience, we have gladly retained Jennifer as our lawyer, and when we recently met to follow up on some details of our trust, making sure that everything is in place, Jennifer found a few little things to address and is helping us explore a tax rebate for our newly installed septic system. Knowing we have such an advocate certainly gives us peace of mind.

I worked with Jennifer over the past 8 months, pulling together everything needed to create an estate plan, as well as Power of Attorney, Health Care, and Will. I love how she broke it up into "bite size pieces", and each month would give me something to think about, a list of papers to bring in, etc. What could have been daunting was made to be palatable. I now have everything complete, and totally organized in a great binder! Its some of the best money I've spent!

Curley Law Firm has been in my family's corner for quite some time now. Attorney Lucy Budman set up my parent's Will and Trust years ago and when it came time to unfortunately put my dad into a nursing home Lucy and her team were there to essentially do all the hard work. At first, I thought I could do it, but No Way! Att. Budman, Lynne and Debbie handled everything with the nursing home, MA Health, insurance co, etc. Not only did my mom and my siblings have far less stress, we were able to retain much more in assets because of the Curley Law Firm.

I can’t say enough great things about Curley Law firm. We had a short period of time to work with and the team of Attorney Lucy Budman, Lynne and Debbie. They were incredibly knowledgeable and gave us the guidance we needed to help us make the right decisions in a recent elder law planning event. I originally met Lucy Budman when my mother set up her Irrevocable Trust almost 5 years ago. I had agreed to act as the Trustee for my mom's Irrevocable Trust, and Lucy was extremely helpful to both of us while we did all the legal paperwork . Later on, Mom met with her for changes to her will, and various financial issues that came up. Lucy Budman is very personable , knowledgeable , patient, and explains all the details thoroughly , always answering whatever questions come to mind. After my mother passed away last year, Lucy was always there for us, answering all our questions, our annoying phone calls, and addressing all our needs. We've almost finished all of our distributions , taxes, and house deed changes, now we're moving on to our Will. As she has been for the last 5 years, Lucy Budman is still there for us. Could not ask for a more competent attorney ! Highly recommend !

When I was desperate with out hope looking for financial guidance and support on bankruptcy, I found David by sheer luck! From the moment he took my case knowing I didn't have the amount in full to start process he started working on getting job done. He took me out of my economical worries and never made me feel bad about getting in so deep into debt at a young age. The process felt short due to David explaining it so thoroughly. I would like to preface by saying this was a difficult situation altogether. I did not know what to expect. I read reviews online and found Mr. Berliner to have a lot of recommendations and many people trusted him. After consulting with Mr. Berliner, I knew I had to hire him to help with my situation. We reached out to Andrea as homeowners who had been sold a "luxury" home which was not finished in a luxury fashion. Many short cuts taken by our builder (we bought the house in almost finished condition) and his subs and less than 1-2 years into ownership we had issues with our cement fiber siding and other areas. Once we reviewed the details of our situation with her, she felt we had a solid case and offered to represent us. We proceeded based upon her conviction that we could win. Fast forward a year plus later and we ended up mediating and settling, which we were happy about as we recouped a good portion of our out-of-pocket cost to do the renovations we discovered we would have to do. We would use Andrea again (though I hope we never have to!)

I grateful the Avvo tool and found Attorney Alan Hoch. I did go through many attorney conversations before I settled on Mr. Hoch. Steve is, without exaggeration, the very best. He is intelligent, professional, communicative, and approachable. He represented me in a wage claim and there was never a second where I wasn't absolutely sure the right steps were being taken. He is unafraid to take on the large and well funded firms in the city and is fully equipped to come out with a victory. Legal proceedings can often get messy and difficult but Steve was there for me with an even keeled temperament and prudent advice. While Steve is more than capable of getting you the money you are owed he is even more efficient at righting wrongs. In a world of lawyers killing each other over nickels Steve actually cares about justice. The suit took a long time but it ended in a great result. In sum, Steve Churchill is a great lawyer but an even better person.

Steve helped make the best of a bad situation in an employment wage claim I had. He was always available for any questions I had and I felt he genuinely cared. He is highly intelligent but could also explain the options available to me in terms I could understand. It was also clear that he was highly regarded by both the opposing lawyer, and later the mediator. I would not hesitate to use Steve again or recommend him to someone needing an employment lawyer.

I have been a public school teacher for 30 years; it’s been my passion, my mission, my dream, and my life. I was stunned when, twelve years ago, a new principal came to my school and started to bully me with threats to my employment, false and distorted accusations, false claims on my evaluations, and routine hostile meetings during which I had to endure aggressive, irrational, and unrestrained hostility. The union helped me keep my job for all of those years, but eventually that support wore thin and so did I. Sadly, my story isn't special or unique; it's common among teachers. Everyone loves to say “Teachers should be paid more and respected more”. What people generally don’t know is that our worst abusers are the school administrators, and they usually get away with it. By the time I found myself in Steve Churchill’s office, I was hanging onto my sanity by a thread, full of self-doubt, anger, confusion, fear, and heartbreak. I needed solid, compassionate, calm, articulate, and expert legal help. That’s exactly what Steve provided. Attorney Churchill is not only an expert in employment law, but he has a talent for explaining it clearly, calmly, and patiently. He was able to absorb my complex story that covered so many years and reframe it for me in a legal context. I contacted attorney Christine Brosnihan through her website when I received a ticket on the Mass Pike. I don't live in Mass. but in New York and couldn't make the trial. I was only going 70 mph and the speed limit was 65mph. The State Policeman was a cocky rude SOB and I really didn't want to let this go. Christine represented me and the judge dismissed the case!!! Way to go Christine!!!!

I contacted Paula based purely on the empathetic prose on her website - it was clear (and became even clearer later) that she understood the emotional dimensions of divorce as well as the hard legal and financial aspects. She is a lovely person as a human being, and as a lawyer is a no-nonsense, hard-hitting professional with the skills to bring together Massachusetts marital law with the psychological aspects of divorce. Due to the previous circumstances of my marriage, I was facing a twelve-year alimony liability that would have been financially disastrous for me, and would have prevented me from making a new start. Paula weaved together an astonishingly favorable settlement agreement that saved me tens of thousands of dollars, through courteous and efficient negotiations with the other side, even factoring in overseas jurisdictions, due to some of my assets being in Europe. She drafted depositions and related court documents that helped my case enormously, and represented my interests in the courtroom with aplomb; the courts were at the time Zoom-only due to COVID. Paula is always focused on outcomes, and can move between the big picture and the minutiae effortlessly and quickly. I found myself in need of a divorce lawyer. A friend recommended me their attorney. My divorce was not going to be typical. I had two boys that were 6 and 3 and their mom was not in a grounded place. I needed to have custody. I had to hold things together. It was not promising. Dads did not fair well in 1999 regarding custody. After a number of meetings it was clear that there was going to be trial. My attorney had a vacation planned and she had to bring in a partner. Enter Paula Berg. In under an hour Paula told me a few basic things that I could rely on when testifying at trial. She was honest, and that does not always mean what I want to hear. She told me that I had the right lawyer and that I had to do exactly what I was told, because we were a team. She explained that dads do not typically get custody, and she followed that up with "so what, I do not have a problem going against the odds". She is a kind, warm person, but that is not how I would describe her professionally. Paula is very no nonsense, direct, and she knows the law. She knows what judges need to do their job. That is worth reading twice. I have referred Paula to a few friends, which also resulted in success. Again, pick the right lawyer and do exactly what she says. She is the right lawyer.

I was referred to Jason through another attorney and let me tell you, I could not be more pleased. He did an amazing job helping me get guardianship for my 55yr old brother. I had been trying for a few yrs to get this task accomplished. Jason is very professional and compassionate, he truly understands how family's feel going through this rather tedious ordeal. I don’t know what we would have done without Jason. My husband and I hired Jason to help us obtain guardianship for our disabled daughter who turned 18 years old this past December. From our initial meeting to help us understand what the guardianship process entailed, to our last meeting in court, Jason was an amazing resource and always so patient and understanding…no matter how many questions I had. I am the representative payee for my adult disabled son. After five years of my son being disabled and collecting disability, his Doctor and I received a form to fill out for a medical review to see if he was "still disabled." I filled this out perfectly describing my son's day to day life and impairments. Although I am a medical professional, obviously I did not do this as well as I perceived as just before Christmas 2014, we received a notice stating my son was no longer disabled and his disability payments would stop in two months. Social Security was not at all helpful and gave me the run around re: the appeal process. Sometimes Social Security employees were not nice or helpful. I knew we needed help. I researched disability attorneys and found Jason. All I can say is "Thank God." He met with both of us and asked questions about my son's disability and symptoms. My son and I provided all the answers to the review to him however Jason worded it in the manner that SSDI requires, unlike what I had done in the previous summer. He was kind, patient, and understanding. There were a few times when my emotions got the better of me, "How can they do this to us?" These were the times when Jason stood behind us and helped us stand on our own two feet. He directed us in following the instructions on the appeal as they are not easy to understand, Jason understood exactly what they were and explained them in a manner that was both understandable and helpful, never degrading. On May 6th of this year, I received the notice from disability stating that after reviewing all the information, they found my son to continue to be disabled, therefore there was no need for a hearing. Of course I would prefer my son to not be disabled. However it is what it is and I do not even want to think of how awful this denial could have been without Jason. I wish I had known him and used him to initially get disability for my son back in 2009 as that process was not pleasant and took three denials/appeals. I definitely could not have done this without his help! My husband and I are now going to be using Jason for estate planning and our wills.

I have hired John to assist on three real estate transactions, over the past two years, pertaining to our family trust and downsizing for my mother. Attourney Paula Fox represented my daughter in a custody case, which lasted about 3 years, as her "ARC" Attourney. Fox's tireless sound advice was always in the best interest of my daughter, even if at times it was challenging for all of us adults to deal with. Overall, her advice and guidance was priceless but it is worth saying that although she did not receive a cent for her services we felt she worked as if we were her most important case. Karen Duffy was my lawyer several years ago. She worked for another attorney who gave the case over to her. I was nervous about having a such a young new comer taking ever, but was she dynamite! My ex was an extremely difficult person to deal with, but she was always calm and always professional. I had an unexpectedly good outcome in my case, and I feel I owe it to her. Attorney Duffy was very professional in and out of the court room. She was very sensitive to my situation and went above and beyond what any other regular attorney would do. Rachel is an outstanding attorney; I am quite pleased with her practice, the timeliness of the deliverable, prompt follow-up e-mails, and clear, concise, easy to understand answers to all of my questions. Before retaining Rachel, I had several initial conversations, reviewed my circumstances, and briefly discussed her 31 years of experience. Rachel's retainer was highly competitive, and the cost/benefit return was terrific! Immediately after retaining Rachel, I received the initial paperwork to file for my divorce. Two weeks later, I spoke with Rachel to review our options and agreed on a separation agreement. We did not know much about my ex-wife situation concerning the retention of council and a few other issues. As such, Rachel mailed our separation agreement to my ex-wife with a firm but gentle letter requesting her to sign and return the proposed agreement within 14 days. Rachel received a counter proposal from my ex-wife a short time later. Rachel reviewed the counter proposal and called me with her assessment and a few suggested changes. I agreed with her suggestions, and we returned the amended separation agreement almost immediately after our call. I am now waiting for my ex-wife to sign Rachel's amended separation agreement. I am confident that upcoming amendments will continue to be addressed in the prompt, professional, and client-friendly manner I have come to expect from Rachel. I am delighted with Rachel; I would recommend her without hesitation.

Brian understood my car accident and head injury because he's had a similar experience. It helps a lot to be represented by someone who understands more than the legal aspects of representing you. Attorney Rittershaus is not only a rare find, but also a delight to work with. I first hired him in 2015, after I exhausted myself with the search for an attorney. When I first met him, I was overwhelmed by his warmth and graciousness, and after that with his dedication to my case, his skillfulness, understanding, and going more than an extra mile for me. Attorney and guardian Angel is golden combination, particularly when it comes to settlements that are not respected by one party. I trusted my ex-husband when it came to a divorce and went to a mediator with him. Hoooowever Ex-husbands with a new wife can have a tendency to not respect alimony settlement, that are done through only a mediator. That is particularly so, if they have their own company and can maneuver money around. Ethan produced exactly the result I wished for, even though the case ended up more difficult than originally expected, and my ex had hired an attorney who had far more years of experience than Attorney Rittershaus. My particular wish was to have the case conducted with love and respect. That was the main reason I was not able to hire another attorney. Well, I got all that I wished for and even more. I hired attorney Rittershaus again recently, and he surprised me even more. I was not in the US and needed Documents in Germany, and I needed them fast. He did the impossible and in the most speedy manner. I also needed a letter stating a certain Law in the US. Attorney Rittershaus composed that letter with elegance, and in a most excellent manner. The letter was written as if he is both an American and a German Attorney. He provided even references in the German Law system, that corresponded to my Case! What was even more surprising, was the speedy manner in which the Documents arrived in spite of all the obstacles that the outbreak of Covit 19 brought about. Now I am hiring again, for yet another case, and so very appreciative to have him as my attorney again. I know the praise I sing for Attorney Rittershaus may be hard to believe. However, once you meet him in Person, you will see that I have hardly praised attorney Rittershaus Enough!
